INTRODUCTION TO MY WILLIAM PIKE CHALLENGE AWARD BLOG
I am very excited to be posting my first post on my WPCA 2015 Blog
First, a bit about the WPCbA.
William Pike was one of the two survivors on Mt Ruapehu when it erupted in 2007.
William's dome shelter he was staying in collapsed when the eruption happened his friend ran off to find help as William could not move as lots of stuff was on him.
Now he only has one leg and the other was amputated.
He has now created the William Pike Challenge Award (WPCA)
This is to encourage kids to get out of there comfort zone and do lots of fun activities.
The point in this blog is to show you what i've done in the WPCA
Now a bit about myself
I am a year 8 student at Ladbrooks School near Tai Tapu in Christchurch.
I have taken up the option to do the WPCA as i feel i need to get out into the outdoors more and do more things
Thank you for viewing this blog
